A candidate must additionally have passed
English as a subject of study either at the 10th Class level or
12th Class level (core or elective).
Note:
i) An applicant who has to leave an Engineering Degree Course, or
an equivalent Course, after exhausting the permissible number of
chances in any other University/Board in India, will not be eligible
for admission to Bachelor of Engineering Course.
ii) Candidates who have appeared at the Annual Examination in the current academic
year and confident of meeting the eligibility criteria can
seek admission for the following academic year. In the event of not meeting the
eligibility after the submission of Marks Card, the candidates will
not be admitted and the amount paid will be forfeited.
iii) No admission will be made directly to the second or any subsequent
semester of the Course.
iv) No change of branch will be permitted after the commencement
of the second semester, even if some seats fall vacant in some of
the branches during the Course of second semester.
v) No admission will be made after August 31st in each academic
year. The VTU however, condone the delay in exceptional cases.
Relaxation in Marks for Reserved Category
Candidates belonging to the following
categories, who apply for seats reserved for them shall be allowed
a concession in the minimum eligibility requirements as detailed
below:
- Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes
shall be allowed 10% concession of marks in the minimum eligibility
requirements.
Age Requirements
Applicant must be 17 years of age
on or before the 1st October of the year in which he/she seeks admission.
